What each visit involves, in plain language. If you are unsure which applies to you, book a comprehensive examination — it covers everything below.
Cataract surgery with premium lenses
Cataract removal using the latest phacoemulsification technique, with premium lens options matched to your eyes — multifocal, EDOF, and toric lenses. Complex cases are covered too, including scleral-fixation IOLs and pupilloplasty. Dr. Qaim has performed more than 20,000 successful surgeries over 20 years.
Basic eye screening
A full check of your vision and eye health — the right place to start if you are not sure what you need. Vision and refraction testing, an eye-pressure check, and examination of the front and back of the eye.
Cataract surgery (conventional)
Conventional cataract surgery for eyes where phacoemulsification is not suitable — dense or advanced cataracts, and complicated cases referred from other centres.
Laser treatments — YAG, Argon, SLT, Diode
All major eye laser procedures: YAG laser for clouding after cataract surgery, Argon laser for retinal and diabetic changes, SLT for glaucoma pressure control, and diode laser. Quick outpatient procedures — no admission needed.
Glaucoma management
Care for every type of glaucoma to control eye pressure and protect your sight — laser treatments (ALT, SLT, and cyclodiode) and surgery for difficult, refractory cases.
Diabetic retinopathy
Management of diabetic eye disease at every stage — intravitreal injections and laser treatment to protect the retina and preserve vision. Important for anyone living with diabetes.
Paediatric ophthalmology
Eye care for children — glasses for refractive errors, squint correction, congenital cataracts, blocked tear ducts (the drainage system), and congenital glaucoma. Most childhood eye conditions are correctable when caught early.
Squint surgery
Correction of misaligned eyes in children and adults — realigning the eye muscles to restore appearance and, where possible, binocular vision.
Oculoplastics
Surgery of the eyelids and the structures around the eye — all types of lid surgery, the full range of ptosis (drooping eyelid) procedures, and management of eyelid cancers.
Ptosis surgery
All procedures for drooping eyelids, from mild to severe — restoring the field of vision and the natural appearance of the eye.
Tear duct surgery (DCR)
Surgery for a blocked tear duct — DCR with intubation — for constant watering or repeated eye infections.
Eye infections
Diagnosis and treatment of all types of eye infection.
Complex anterior segment surgery
Surgical management of complicated conditions of the front of the eye — dense cataracts, trauma, and difficult cases referred from other centres.
Eye trauma & prosthesis
Management of eye injuries and their complications, including the fitting of an artificial eye (prosthesis).
Comprehensive clinical care
Vision testing, refraction, slit-lamp examination, pressure check, and dilated retinal assessment — with complete medical and surgical management of what is found, and a clear explanation at every step.
LASEK & corneal transplant
LASEK laser vision correction and corneal transplant services are being established at the clinic. Details will be announced here.
